This 80-year-old residence was once the home of Watanabe-san, a respected local farmer and community leader in Kamiyamaguchi. The property’s past includes a World War II air-raid shelter hidden within its gardens, adding a unique layer to its heritage and historical value.

The Bamboo Forest House is located in the charming coastal region of Hayama, which attracts visitors with its rich history, cultural heritage, and stunning natural landscapes. The house sits in Kamiyamaguchi, a district recognized as one of Japan’s top 100 Satoyama (traditional rural landscapes). It is also close to Isshiki Beach, known for its breathtaking scenery and recognized as one of the world’s top 100 beaches. The location offers excellent accessibility: it’s just a one-hour train ride from Tokyo Station to Zushi Station and can be conveniently reached by car from Haneda Airport. As a gateway to historic Kamakura, the area provides easy access to additional cultural attractions. The world-famous Isshiki Beach is just 15 minutes away, adding an extra touch of coastal charm.

ACTIVITIES
